WHY?
Small Press: A publishing effort to put out more diverse zines. Submit to one of our comps. We?re also open to zine ideas and collaborations. Have a zine you'd like to see in print? An idea you'd like to throw at us, a theme or specific topic-let us know!
HOW TO SUBMIT?
Send submissions via email, either in text in the body of the email or attached in .txt format to csdistro (at) gmail.com. In the subject enter submission, followed by the zine title. Include a brief bio, your mailing address, website if any. Mention your zine or any upcoming projects you'd like mentioned.
Email any photos, artwork in the same format. If you want to submit something via snail mail, email me and fill me in on the details.

§Carpal Tunnel, zines & you. Do you have carpal tunnel syndrome?
Have you been doing zines for a while and have the telltale sign of wrist pain?
Have you been writing for what seems like forever and the pain has caught up with you?
Do you know someone who has it? What I hope to be covered: what is carpal tunnel syndrome,
who can get it and how, preventing it and treating/coping with the pain, different healing methods,
personal stories and more.
dream zine: artificial night
Dreams, dream symbolism, different dream theories, lucid dreaming, dream diaries, using dream themes in healing arts. Dream journals-did you DIY your own? Did you tuck it under your pillow? Did it help? Dream pillows-Did you make your own? what herbs did you use, if any. Did it help/soothe your dreams or make them worse. Articles. Limited first person story accounts, tell me your dream but tell me the why of the dream, what you diciphered about your dream-tell me your dream history. Tell me about your dream terrors, your nightmares. .

Short stories, short shorts *also called postcard fiction- usually less than 300 words, art, photography, long term news (the water problems in Mission in an example, colonias in the valley is another example), all about our beloved Rio Grande Valley. It'll be great to have regular contributors appearing in each issue.

There is no theme but we would like to publish pieces from unique perspectives by mujeres on issues concerning mujeres and folks of colors- - issues that are hardly covered in zines.

A zine created by the folks she influenced; from the place she grew up in-the borderlands. How her writing helped shape Chicana feminism, created a new consciousness and gave voice to her generation and future generations and how this allowed others to find their voice and articulate through their bordered tongues.
